Who is Léon Millot?
Léon Millot is the nom de plume or pen name for the writer of this blog. A native to the Finger Lakes Region of New York State, Léon Millot has extensive wine tasting experience. He is a graduate of Cornell University where he studied wines in the early-2000s. Léon Millot appreciates the evolution of hybrid grapes and the growing acceptance of the wines made with them.
Perhaps the better question to ask is “What is Léon Millot?” Also known as Kuhlmann 194-2, this hybrid grape is an early ripening, black grape produced from the same cross as Maréchal Foch.
